In Battlefield 1 translates mainly to a much greater interactivity battlefield, manifested among others an unprecedented system of destruction and greater impact area (and ongoing changes to it) on the gameplay. During the game so we can destroy not only the big and small fighting vehicles, but also to destroy entire buildings – from wooden huts, the huge stone forts. Given that we are dealing with the first installment of the series, created specifically for modern PCs and consoles eighth generation, in terms of quality and detail of the graphics output is an important step forward in comparison with the published three years earlier Battlefield 4.
I had the opportunity to test Battlefield 1 as a whole with the rest of my colleagues from the press directly in the premises of DICE. We have thus been able to traverse the multiplayer and the solo in a long and wide way. There have been ups and downs in my enthusiasm, but I am convinced of what I have seen. We were able to start with the discovery of the operation mode, the big novelty of the Battlefield saga that fits and adapts perfectly to the new historical context. Besides, it was the mode of conquest that had the most taped and kept me in breath.
The objective is simple, it is classically capture points, the difference being that one team is responsible for defense and the other for attack. To top it off, the map progresses and unfolds step by step as in the rush mode, except that here it is usually a little bigger. You can feel the inspiration of the Battlefront Walker mode. So obviously, for the moment, even if the principle is very good, in fact it remains rather rough. The objective of the defending camp is to reduce the number of tickets (respawn) of the attacking team to 0. When one plays in attack one has the furious impression of being shriveled, and yet often happens to win the victory. Conversely, the defensive camp takes (forgive the expression) full the pear and one is always a little surprised to see the name of his team in the rank of the winner at the end of the game. Anyway, it remains an excellent mode of play and surely one that best transcribes the experience of the First World War.
